so its the first day of school.. i swear ive never seen so many people EVERYWHERE im my life! we got out of discussion early today.. he just told us his email and let us go.. so i have lots of time now to hang out.. maybe i should go and do something productive..
anyways, all the classes were full, then i go out to bruin walk to look for our table, and all i see is heads.. jeez
then i come into the lab and its full too! crazy stuff!
i'll give it about a week for everything to die back down to "normal".. i guess i was getting too used to UCLA at summertime.
So im at work now, lots of newbies are working now.. in highly visible stations.. such as counter, rover, etc... where people can and do ask questions..
i dont see many of us old geezers around to help, so im trying to keep an eye out for newbies with the lost look on their faces.. of course, alot of them already do, but im looking for the ones that are talking to users.. and guess what? there was just an ID mixup.. newbie gave someone someone else's ID after taking the pager back.. see.. told you! it took me a while to adjust to working on my own.. gotta be the same for these guys..
i guess they gotta learn dont they? this is definitely the way to learn.. ill jsut have to keep watch on them.. i think we did a good job training them so we'll have to see...
got an email from raymond today.. saying that he senses my dissapointment and that hes sorry he's been MIA lately but hes here now and will do his best as admin... go raymond! yes, i am dissapointed, but no, its not at him.. in fact, he is one of my excomm that im not worried about
