okie so i FINALLY have a chance to blog once again..
so lessee.. the quarter is over, apo is over, my life as a college student is over, pretty much life as i know it is over.
i meant it what i said at the banquet about being both glad and terrified that im finally done.

so yea.. what to do now? i know what there is to do, but how is my life going to be?
i had all this stuff in my head this weekend about what i would blog about, but u kno where that went.
this weekend for turkey day my family and i went to Vegas. we stayed at a suite on the 24th floor of the Venecian. pretty nice place, the room was complete with glass showers, 2 levels, fax machine, 2 tvs, and a nice king bed. pics will of the trip will be up as soon as i get a new power supply for my comp. =(
took lots of pics from the shows that we went to, the other hotels, and scenery pics from the way back. they all turned out pretty well.. i really wouldnt mind leaning towards photography as some kind of a hobby.
oh speaking of hobbies, my excomm got me a new bowling ball! and Winnie got me a new bowling ball bag that i can put both in! thanks guys!
oh speaking of excomm too, i was chatting with ray W about how the banquet went and everything. of course it went really well, i was just noticing that for all the awards that were given out, i didnt get anything. not that i expected to get one, or that im not grateful just to be part of aphio, but when the pledge parent gets the leadership award over the president, what does that say about what people thought of the president's job? exactly.
that's what got me thinking, and honestly dissapointed. of course mick totally deserves it, i mean everyone can tell what a great job he did by the amount of awards he got that night.. mick is a superb guy and im glad he got those awards.. so i dunno wat im saying.. yea mick was a great pledge parent and a great guy, and a great leader... but i really thought i did a decent job considering the circumstances this quarter.. so what do people think of the job that i did? the job that my excomm did as a whole? was apo led this past quarter by the pledge parent? i dont think so. so theres other factors involved.
ray W said it was prolly because im not as outspoken as the others are, and if the president does their job right, then his excomm should be the ones that get recognized for their work... president is always a thankless job he says... so im not a good leader because im not loud enough? or not forceful enough? i would hope i dont have to spoon feed and tell everyone exactly what to do.. my excomm was good enough that i knew everything that was going on, and didnt have to tell them what they needed to do, just let them do their jobs the way they like to. and they got it done, in my opinion extremely well, and i didnt have to nag.
i thought i did my job, i thought i left apo in a good place, i thought we were making some good changes, i thought thats what made a good leader. i thought wrong. apparently its who's the loudest, most visible, most well-liked person who is a good leader. still doesnt make a whole lot of sense to me, especially since i dont agree with it.
