so i had my interview at Genentech today... i was picturing an all day thing of interviews with different people back to back, with suits asking their questions in their pissed-off voice, "so why should i hire you?"
wat i got was breakfast and ice breaker games, then an introduction of the company and overview of their corporate IT dept by the director, then a video of their offsite IT festivities, group activities, a hearty lunch, role playing exercises, written exercises, and then a 15 minute interview. pretty laid back, and a fun day i must say. i think i did pretty well, esp on the written and the interview. during the other activities tho, these two guys at our table spoke the most, so the rest of us couldnt really get many words in.. which sucked.. one of the guys knew what he was talking about.. the *other* guy though, everyone could tell he was just using any chance he could to throw in anything he knew, just to show off and kiss ass.. too bad im on the quiet side, but ive got the youth, knowledge, and experience that i need for this job.. hopefully it came thru in my writing and interview.. talked alot about APO too, didnt talk as much as i wanted about other "professional" stuffs hehe, but its okie.. APO is semi-professional..

so we got a new car at home, a new Camry, silver. its pretty nice, i drove it to my interview today while my car was being serviced.. its big tho, and im not used to the way it drives yet.. its more like a volvo in terms of feeling than a camry..
