*WHAT* a weekend
just as i thought, an exhausting but great weekend..
my buddy calvin came down this weekend. his review of how us LA folk play: "I had the time of my life these past few days." welcome to my world, man!
too bad mel lost what she had typed for her xanga, i was going to say just go to mel's to read what we did haha. im lazy and im tired haha.
first some highlights, then some pics.
-thurs life plaza (yum, pork chops and going 110 on the freeway.. sshh dont tell my mom)
-fri car "meet" (isnt that ironic?... 20 min!), then driving up the twisties, following calvin as he coasted down in neutral and his hand brake(because he had to, car problems at the top of the mtn)
-sat dimsum (sorry grace, its not a sunday), speed-shopping, prey-ing in the rain, and norms to make the evening complete.
-sun more car stuff, taking sue to the airport, boba, and NICK ALT in the "my girlfriend is out of town" shirt.
Speaking of nickalt (no thats not a spelling mistake, its what we call him), he's going to be looking for something about his show last night:
well of course they rocked the house, you people who didnt come missed out again! it was a hard crowd, maybe thats why they call it "hard rock". the crowd really makes the difference ive noticed. BUT they still did it! there are even some regulars that come out to check them out too.
nickalt and grace are still really animated on stage, what a sight that is!
he announced his next shows: opening for Morris Day and the Time (you know, from Jay and Silent Bob and Purple Rain). more info on his site NickAlt.com
what a great weekend indeed, felt like everyday was my birfday, especially when sue comes! dayam, why do weekends have to be so short?
im loving the random naps, eventho one almost made us late to the airport. isnt it super-duper when you have a good, satisfying nap? yum. thats what i need right now.
