even gigolos get lonely sometimes

wow malibu inn was rockin on sat!
nickalt and the neofunk played what i thought was their best show so far! you could tell all of those rehearsals paid off, and they worked very well together as a band. i really liked how each member had their own solos, grace suprised even me with what she could do! GREAT job, nickalt and the neofunk. you guys missed out on a great show!
the other band, slapback, was good too, they had a good rhythm and had the crowd going.
and finally it was time for morris day. wow. they had some CRAZY energy for however old they were! what a show they put on! the difference between a large venue and a small venue is that when a large band plays in a small venue, grace gets to go up on stage and shake her thang with morris day and his sidekick guy. crazy fun from these guys, and Prince was even there! (yes, he gets a capital P) he just looked like a normal guy without all that white makeup on (mel even thought he was white), except he got to sit down. grace said, "you mean the levar burton-looking guy was him?"

earlier that day, jeannie (ucr apo) came to hang out, its always great to hang out with her. she got along great with peter, mel, and grace too! omellete parlor for some good eats, then back home cuz i had to get ready for the meet. its always fun, jeannie, i'll definietly come down next time!
washed my car and engine bay sans a garden hose, and by the time that was done the meet had already started. so shower and lots of traffic later, we get to the meet fashionably late. it was great, CF1 hooked it up with food and a raffle for the ~80 or so cars that came out to show their stuff. i must say my gen3 was the best one out there, because not only was i cleaner, with better sound and lighting, but i also had my car chick! thanks to mel for coming with me. its always a better time when we both can make fun of someone.
dropped her off for their homecoming game (parking $30???) and headed up to malibu. met up with mel later after the show to get some late night korean food. yum.

obviously we had a busy enough sat to last the weekend, so sun literally we stayed in bed all day. finally got up at 6pm, and it was dark again. we only washed up enough to go get food to bring back to eat, and we watched movies and drank wine till we passed out again. equally satisfying when compared to an action packed weekend like we usually have!

here are some pics from the meet, lots of blurry pics so i could only salvage a few of them, and here are a couple of those:
