"You know you're getting old when you stoop to tie your shoelaces and wonder what else you could do while you're down there." --George Burns
last night before bowling me, g, elaine, and mary c went to this financial freedom seminar in beverly hills. it was put on by the Young Professionals Group, and the speaker was vanessa summers, supposedly a famous athlete/model/financial guru. her talk was pretty informative for me (g didnt think so much), and got me thinking of what id need to do to make my financial situation better. my finances arent that bad, i dont have debt, but i also dont see my bank account getting any bigger. since my sister and i are going to be buying a house/property soon, i should definitely make some financial changes. the 2-hour seminar was pretty good in that she said to get some attainable finacial goals written down, and have everything you do aimed toward those goals. once each one is attained, cross it off and replace it with an upgraded one. lots of stuff to take in and apply, so i'll be starting with little things that she mentioned and stepping up accordingly. wow big adult stuff going on here.
bowling was ok, didnt do super hot tho. i really gotta figure out why my game cant get past the 110-160 range most of the time. we've been going for so long, i really should be better than this. i hate that the price went up too, even if it is a couple of bucks per night. eventhough it opens earlier, we dont get to a lane earlier. so basically its the same bowling but with a higher price. anyways, met catherine this week, the plexcomm fellowship chair (just like i was when i pledged). last week we met natasha, the married one. both were fun, i think i might start showing up to aphio stuff again when i can. i miss those carefree days way back then.
