it's a good thing i dont get much flack for not posting much hehehe..

so gas started creeping up quietly until recently.. then people were like, "wait a second.. why does the price sign look all weird?" that's because they ran out of "3s" and had to use duct tape to make the "8" look like a "3"... so what's the highest amount you'll pay per gallon for gas? for me, if it hits 4.50-5.00, i'd probably consider some other mode of transportation. and its not even that bad for me. i feel sorry for g, and teeda, and my sis, and everyone who have to commute for many moons to go to work.. almost like the first hour or so is working for the gas it took to get there. i really shouldn't complain though, i only fill up every 2-3 weeks!

speaking of the car, ive been having some small problems with it... but i think i've got it figured out. I have some leaking coolant. pretty standard car problem, right? not really. here's the catch... i havent been driving the car. one week the coolant level is on full, the next week it is on low.. and the engine has not been started once within that time.. so what the heck is goin on? how can i have a leak (even if it's only external) if the coolant isnt circulating?

well, one thing with the coolant system is that there is NO air in the lines. the hoses and gaskets are full of coolant all the time, and so even if not circulating, the lines are always full, and if theres a leak anywhere in the system, it'll leak regardless.

also, the height of the remaining coolant in the container is the height of the leak. the level of the coolant was around the same level as the water pump, and since a faulty water pump does let coolant out the bottom, thats what my guess is, a failing water pump. i had a chance to change the water pump a couple of months ago, but i didnt *need* to at the time.. doh! so im going to be taking it in to confirm before i get some work done..

oh and ive also got a small oil leak when i do run the engine, which might be a valve cover seal, a common leak point. of course, no one really cares so im just wasting my typing!
