warning: automobile post below..

jiffy lube = NEVER go there. Here's why.

So a couple weekends ago i went with bobbo to an Audi driving event called Streets of Tomorrow. you all know i jump at these kinds of opportunities whenever i can! we ended up driving the Q7, A3, A8 L, and rode in the RS4. Q7 and A8L were bleh.. while the RS4 was seeexay. the A3 was suprisingly good as well, i liked the weight of the shifter and the overall feel of driving it.. and a few grand cheaper than the car i wanted..

What do you think, is it me?

too bad the hatch isnt really my type of car.. or is it?

I was talking with my sister about what my next car should be (maurice had issues, more on that later), and she mentioned a scion tC. now, i had never even considered staying in the toyota family, but the idea of a tC intrigued me. i knew they were a really good price for what they are (basically a 2 door camry), and that they had alot of aftermarket support (duh). so, i priced out the car as i wanted it. wow. brand new supercharged 5 spd flint mica tC.. what do you think.. is it me?

considering its alot of car for less than half of what i was expecting to spend originally, i'd say yea, theres a very good chance that it is me.

so on to maurice: he's had issues, but not suprising because of his "experience" (he just rolled over 190k miles yesterday). i was washing the engine bay last week, and water got into where it shouldnt have (distributor cap), and as a result i lost spark in one of the cylinders. i got parts for a tuneup and did it right in the parking lot at work, and that fixed it. i also had a coolant leak from the water pump, so i needed to get that along with the timing belt replaced, which i did in murietta. so he's good for now, running like the champ that he is (until i sell him - shhhh).

he is so good that i ended up showing him off at the 11th Annual Toyota Owners and Restorers Club Toyotafest event held in Long Beach. i couldnt get a set of rims to fit in with most of the cars there, but it was still fun hanging out!

in the camry section:

this old levin got lots of attention, so maurice was in the background in alot of pics!

so lots of car stuff these past couple of weeks.. if you didnt bother to read everything, here are the cliff notes:

  • audi A3
  • scion tC
  • maurice getting fixed, then showing how clean he can be
