the ode
the farewell i never thought would happen
chances are if you know me, you know maurice too. he's probably taken you on trips, done you favors, been there when you needed him. he's never broken down on me, never given me much problems, never even had a flat. purchased with 45 miles on the OD... 12 years later he's got 196,000+ miles. that's a lot of picking up, dropping off, road trips, moving, joyriding, and everything in between. even with some pretty extensive mods in the last few years, he's taken it like a champ, and craves more. i'm giving him to his new owner in about 12 hours, making it the end of an era. for my car peeps, this car is what has defined me in the forums I frequent. I'm known as the guy in socal with the rare sunfire red gen3.5 5SFE with custom engine work, lighting, sound... the works. he has been the source of my car education. from the first mod (clear corners) to the last (cold cathode trunk lights), he has been my grocery getter, my race car, my limo. he has come a long way from my high school days.. he's been with me through all of my gfs, cycles of friends, and cycles of enemies. he has enriched mine and everyone else's life that he has served. he will now continue on and serve someone else well. I can only hope my next ones turn out to be half the cars he was to me.

THANK YOU, MAURICE!
